Brian E. Good, CPA, Partner, has over 20 years of combined public and industry consulting, finance and accounting experience. Prior to co-founding the DGK Group, P.C. Brian spent five years as the corporate controller of both a venture capitalist based turnaround entity in the global chemical industry as well as an S&P 500 pharmaceutical and consumer products outsourcer based in the Philadelphia region. Previously, Brian worked five years in public accounting with Deloitte & Touche, L.L.P. in its Emerging Growth Business Support Group, and four years with a local Philadelphia based auditing firm. Brian serves as both a financial management outsourcing consulting partner as well as its lead business development and financial services partner. He is a CPA with a B.S. in Accounting and Economics from Eastern University.
Nicholas J. DeStephanis, CPA, CCIFP, Partner, has over 20 years of combined public accounting, tax and small business consulting experience. Prior to joining the DGK Group, P.C., Nick was a partner for seven years in the accounting firm of DeStephanis & Associates, P.C. He serves as the firm’s primary small business accounting and tax consulting partner as well as its professional, ethical and accounting practice standards lead partner. Nick received a B.S. in Business Management with an emphasis in labor/management relations from the Pennsylvania State University. He attained further accounting and business education from LaSalle University and obtained his CPA license in 1995. Nick successfully obtained the professional designation of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) in September 2008. Nick is one of the first 500 in the United States to receive the designation.
Thomas W. Aiken, Principal, has more than 30 years of financial experience in high tech companies. Tom has been the CFO of public and venture-backed companies including Prescient Applied Intelligence, Lamina Ceramics, SyChip, GMT Microelectronics, Teleos Communications, Gandalf Systems, and Infotron Systems. At those positions, he led efforts to raise venture capital, prepared for an Initial Public Offering, and completed several acquisitions and mergers. Tom has served on boards of directors and has had responsibility for several multinational organizations. Tom has international experience forming companies in Europe and Asia. He has also held accounting positions with Ford Aerospace and General Electric. Tom serves the firm in business development and as a project based CFO. He received a B.S. Business Administration from Virginia Southern College and is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants. Tom is the Vice Chairman, Board of Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executives Group and serves as Chair of the Audit Committee. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Mid Atlantic Diamond Ventures and on the Board of the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia.
Raymond D. DeStephanis, Jr., CPA, CVA, Principal, is the founder of DeStephanis & Associates, P.C. Ray has 41 years practicing as a multi-dimensional CPA assisting a myriad of companies. He received his B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting Concentration) in 1970 and his M.B.A. in Business Administration (Accounting Concentration) in 1992. He has taught accounting and auditing at LaSalle and Drexel Universities. Since 1988, he has conducted CPE for CPA’s as a licensed sponsor granted by Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He attained his CPA license in 1973 and his CVA certification in 2004.
